How to get to Bios
At delivery, the BBS is configured to boot fast.
That means it does not show time-consuming splash-screens.
For the moment we turn them on, just to see what we're doing.
Just after boot, hit F2 a few times.
Then a standard Bios setup screen will be available.
Settings
Only the relevant settings are shown here, just leave the rest.
- Main
- Date - adjust to current value.
- Time - adjust to current value.
- Advanced
- Boot configuration
- System fan control - Disable; enabled seems to generate unexpected interrupts (not confirmed myself).
- Display setup prompt - On shows you when to press F2 next time.
- Drive Configuration
- Hard disk pre-relay 10 in case some disks are spinning up slowly, and are not recognised in time.
Set back to 0 if/when everything is functioning properly.

- After power failure - Power on as long as you didn't find the power switch.
By the way: the power switch is right of the blue power light,
covered with a logo of uhmm... a power switch.

- Boot menu type - Normal - this seems to show the opposite of what is selected.
- Boot device priority - Hard disk first - there is no floppy.
- Hard drive order - doesn't really matter.
- Boot to optical devices - disable
- Boot to removable devices - enable when booting from USB stick;
disable when all this is done.
