Reboot
Linux is now on the boot disk.
Since we have to reboot now anyway,
it is a good time to
- remove the USB stick
- insert the other disks
Get to Bios
Again, just after boot, hit F2 a few times.
Then a standard Bios setup screen will be available.
Settings
Only the relevant settings are shown here, just leave the rest.

- Boot configuration
- Periferal Configuration
- You may disable the sound chips, and/or serial / parallel ports.
I don't know if that saves any power.
- Drive Configuration
- Hard disk pre-relay 0 if that issues no problems with recognizing disks at boot-time.

- Power
- Boot
- Boot menu type - Normal - this seems to show the opposite of what is selected.
- Hard drive order - put the drive with your newly installed Linux on top.
- Boot to optical devices - disable.
- Boot to removable devices - disable.
- Boot to network - disable
- USB Boot - disable.
- ZIP emulation - hard disk
- Boot USB devices first - disable when installing, disable later.
- USB mass storage - All fixed disk.
- Exit - saving changes.
